The Blood Angels
Commission Project
The Blood Angels project is an ongoing commission consisting of Astartes from the 2nd company and the Death Company.
With the infantry consisting of primarily Assault Squads and Death Company utilising a lavish array of Blood Angels iconography and bits (as well as an appropriate amount of gore) - it’s obvious these Sons of Sanguineous are revelling in the carnage of battle, though considering the Death Company swelling their ranks - perhaps they are enjoying it more than appropriate.
The Carmine Host Hungers
I only have a photo of the first phase from this project - as at the time I did not take a photo of the second phase.
Executioner-Captain Zorael
Converted using a limited edition Imperium Magazine Captain and various Sanguinary Guard bits. His base nameplate was 3d printed and added later.
Company Champion Furaal
A made to order Company Champion model.
Lieutenant Tolmeron
Oddly enough this model is no longer sold - a shame for the range as I dig his pose.
Librarian in Phobos Armour
A very dynamic and fun model - if I were to do him again I would make sure his colour pops more.
Aggressor Squad
Easy-build Aggressors. I added a few Blood Angel bits to the Sergeant to make him stand out more.
Death Company squad Danio
Built before the official Primaris Death Company kit - using an Intercessor Squad mixed with some Primaris Upgrade bits. I’d love to do more of these guys. The red crosses were freehanded. I love the bare face, but given the chance now I’d add some bloodshot eyes, and some blood dripping from the mouth.
Death Company Squad Gadrael
Originally made for myself - but they ended up gathering dust, and I asked the client if he would like me to paint them for him instead. Converted using Reiver bodies, and (the now oop) Death Company kit bits.
3 Assault Squads
15 Assault Marines. Unfortunately I don’t know who’s who, so they’re all grouped here together. These have some of the first high detail faces that I ever painted, and I’m really proud of how they turned out - I think looksmaxing through the red thirst is very appropriate for the Blood Angels.
