Dark Angels of the 4th Company
The 4th Company Dark Angels have been my primary personal project for the past few years; a firstborn-only force that serves as my swan song to the pre-primaris era.
A reimagined version of the classic 40k Dark Angels - they mix in elements from the Rogue Trader and Horus Heresy days, both in their liveries and character.
Many factions vie for control in the Anatu system - what business the Unforgiven have here remains to be seen.
The Unforgiven Gather
The army so far. I’m trying to go for a healthy mix of vehicles, characters, and infantry. Some of the models are out of production - so their models are counts-as for their Primaris counterparts.
Malakim, Grandmaster of the 4th Company
Counts-as Azrael. The model is Balthazar from the OOP Dark Vengeance starter set. I replaced his sword, backpack, and helm. I also gave him a tactical rock so no one realises he’s only 5’11.
Venerable Brother Thaddeus
Counts-as Lieutenant. The model is an OOP variant of the Legion Praetor expertly crafted by Edgar Skomorowski. I replaced the backpack and shoulders.
Brother Apothecary Ismael
Built using a body from the Space Marine heroes set 1. The backpack, helmet, arm, and chest are all from the Ravenwing Command kit.
Epistolary Librarian Batiatus
Dark Vengeance Librarian. I gave him a tactical rock to give him a little more height.
Knight-Errant Zakiel
Built using a body from the Space Marine heroes set 1, a Black Templar head, and Dark Angel arms and weapons. He was part of a trade - and now resides in America.
Terminator Squad “Amalak’s Final Word”
Built using Terminators from the Space Marine Heroes set 2. I swapped around some of their arms to make them tabletop-legal.
Built using the OOP Assault Squad kit. I replaced their heads, and used tactical rocks posed at angles to give them the impression of leaping around over rocky terrain.

Built using primarily the OOP Space Marine Heroes set 1, with some Devastator and Horus Heresy bits.
Tactical Squad “Darmok’s Folly”
Built using the Space Marine heroes set 1. I also used some Horus Heresy bits. This was my first Dark Angel unit, built originally as a Killteam - but I decided that I was enjoying them so much that I wanted to expand them into a full army.
Scout Squad "Memory of Mehmed"
Metal Space Marine Scouts from 1997. My long range Scout squad. I loved working with the expressive faces on both Scout squads, especially as most of my regular Marines are helmeted.

Dreadnought “Honoured Brother Moraat”
Built using the Venerable Dreadnought kit - but counted as a regular Dreadnaught.
Land Raider “Egrof of Ohr”
A Phobos pattern Land Raider from 1999 with a mkII Horus Heresy tank commander “Lance-Commander Melachim” at it’s helm.
Deimos pattern Rhino “Inceptum”
I decided to use the Horus Heresy Rhino, as it felt closer to the Rogue Trader variant.
Landspeeder “Ohr of the Forest”
The OOP Land Speeder kit. I painted the two Marines and the vehicle separately.
